Schedule Information

  • The Texas Homeschool State Track & Field Championships are conducted over two days using a rolling schedule to ensure efficient meet flow.

  • Date: Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th 2026

  • Time: Events are projected to begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 8th and will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 9th. Final schedule will be posted on Athletic.net

General Schedule Overview

  • Friday: Middle School Running Events, High School Field Events, all Javelin, & all 3200m races.

  • Saturday: Middle School 2400m races, High School Running Events, & Middle School Field Events.

Both middle school and high school divisions will compete across the two days.

Important Schedule Notes

  • Events will run on a rolling schedule, not a fixed time schedule.

  • Athletes and coaches should be prepared to check in early and remain attentive as events may move ahead of published estimates.

  • Heat sheets and a detailed event order will be posted closer to the meet date.

  • Any schedule adjustments will be communicated as soon as possible.

Check-In & Meetings

  • Athlete event check-in will take place at event call prior to competition.

  • Coaches’ meeting details, including time and location, will be announced with the final schedule.

Schedule Format & Meet Operations

The 2026 Texas Homeschool State Track & Field Championships will follow the traditional two-day format:

  • Friday

    • High School Field Events and Middle School Javelin

    • Middle School Track Events

    • High School 3200M (Friday evening)

  • Saturday

    • High School Track Events

    • Middle School Field Events

    • Middle School 2400M (Saturday morning)

Schedule Adjustment Notice

After event entries close, it may be necessary to move the JV and Varsity High School 3200M races to Saturday morning if Middle School track events are projected to run late into Friday evening.

If this adjustment is required, all teams will be notified no later than Wednesday prior to the meet at 12:00 PM (noon).

Athlete Readiness & Check-In

To keep the meet running efficiently, coaches are asked to ensure athletes are prepared and present for their events.

  • Athletes must obtain their hip numbers and check in at the appropriate starting area before each running event.

  • Athletes who are not present when their heat is called will not be moved to another heat.

  • Athletes competing in field events must check in before the event begins and must return to compete before the event closes.

  • Coaches and athletes should communicate clearly with event officials when athletes are competing in multiple field events.

Rolling Schedule

The meet will operate on a rolling schedule. Events will begin as soon as the previous event concludes. Published times are estimates, and athletes should remain alert and ready throughout the day.
