What began as a small gathering of homeschool athletes with a shared love for track and field has grown into one of the most anticipated homeschool sporting events in Texas.
In the early years, families, coaches, and volunteers came together with little more than determination, stopwatches, and a vision. There were no large crowds or polished banners, just committed athletes running, jumping, and throwing with excellence and integrity. The goal was simple: give homeschool students a place to compete, improve, and be challenged alongside their peers.
Year after year, the meet grew. More teams formed. More independent athletes joined. Standards rose. What never changed was the heart of the event. It remained athlete-centered, volunteer-driven, and rooted in sportsmanship, discipline, and community.
Today, the Texas Homeschool Track & Field State Championships represent more than medals and results. They stand as a testimony to what families, coaches, and students can build together through consistency, hard work, and shared purpose. Each race run and each mark recorded is part of a larger story still being written, one generation of homeschool athletes at a time.
