Texas State Homeschool Track & Field Championships

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: I understand that all athletic events encompass inherent risks, which may be severe such as brain injuries and paralysis, and may even include death.  As a participant or the parent/guardian of a participant of the Texas State Homeschool Track & Field Championships, I hereby release the event organizers, volunteers, track meet officials, San Antonio Patriots Homeschool Athletics, its coaches and board members, and the facility owner and its employees from any and all liability for any damages, whether property, financial, or personal, that I or my child/ward may incur in relation to my/our/his/her participation in or presence at this event.

CONSENT FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE: I authorize the organizers of the meet to obtain emergency medical care for me or my child/ward if they deem it necessary, and I agree to be responsible for the payment for such care.  “Participant” includes athletes, volunteers, vendors, or spectators.

MEDIA RELEASE: I also consent to the use of my child's name and/or likeness in media (newspapers, television, radio, and the internet) related to this event.  It is not possible to opt out of results posting.

We understand that this event is run entirely by volunteers who serve the homeschool community, and that no one serving at this event may be deemed to be an expert or professional of any kind.

Knowing this, and all of the above, we voluntarily choose to participate and to do so at our own risk because we believe in our sole discretion that participation will be in the best interest of our family.

BY REGISTERING ATHLETES FOR, AND BY PERMITTING OUR ATHLETE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT, WE CERTIFY THAT WE HAVE READ THE ABOVE WAIVERS AND CONSENT, THAT WE UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE WAIVERS AND CONSENT, AND THAT WE AGREE TO ALL OF THE ABOVE WAIVERS AND CONSENT FOR OURSELVES AND OUR FAMILY.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT AGREEING TO THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE IN ITS ENTIRETY IS A REQUIREMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT.
